How a love for books built my foundation for imagination and empathy.

Since childhood, books have been my favorite architecture — each story a world carefully designed with ideas, emotions, and dreams. What began as quiet afternoons spent reading under the sunlight soon became a journey of sharing that same wonder with others.
In 2023, I began volunteering as a Book Lover & Literacy Advocate, translating over ten children’s books and illustrating their pages to bring stories closer to young readers. Beyond the words, I created interactive reading experiences — from storytelling and puppet shows to book-themed workshops where children could dress up as their favorite characters. I discovered that storytelling is a form of design: it shapes how we see the world, imagine possibilities, and connect with people.

Through these projects, I learned that literacy is more than reading — it’s about empathy, communication, and creativity. Guiding children to tell their own stories through art and color taught me how imagination can build bridges between minds, just like architecture builds spaces between people.

Today, as I pursue my dream of becoming an architect, I carry with me the same belief that guided my literacy work: every great design begins with a story worth telling.
